I got a question, Why is statutory rape dealt with harder than any other sex crime? Prostitution is probably the closest second in sex crime prosecution. Date rape is often laughed out of court as violent rape is pushed aside. Incest is ignored as a hidden dirty family secret and pedophilia (the sexual manipulation of non-pubescent adolescents through violence and/or coercion or any other means really) is handled in lawsuit pay offs. Teens are advocated to have sex with each other by corporate interests as it puts interest in products that appeal to the sexual appetite of their peers (Axe body spray, Tag body spray, any brand name of clothes, diet supplements or exercise equipment) It's simple tell people to think about it at a younger age and your potential clientèle widens considerably from 21 and up to 18 and up to 16 and up to 14 and up. I'm not suggesting people from the ages of 14-21 don't think about sexual attraction naturally on their own, but why push Extenze, KY jelly, TrimSpa on teen oriented shows like South Park, Family Guy, etc (face it, it's not our grandparents watching those shows). And if teens explore sex with each other a few parents might get mad but the law does nothing. Now of course I would never suggest that the hook ups that occur on Myspace, Craigslist etc are legit and are nothing to worry about. But age is not the issue, it's predatorial mindsets that can occur at any age. Sociopaths are generally diagnosed from 15 and up 3 years before becoming legal. Before then they are labeled a less harsher Defiance Disorder diagnosis. Certain activities are somewhat of a give away of whether the sexual encounter was purely mutual or somewhat manipulated. Drugs and alcohol suggest rape, condoms don't. Foreplay not rape (typically) golden showers and violent scars typically rape unless the recipient is a masochist which is an issue that should for one's own health be under some counseling to deal with that problem if wanted to and the performing sadist should be psychologically consulted to see if his tendencies are a threat to non-consenting partners (potential victims to be blunt). However legal enforcement does not want to put this much focus on any particular case. They don't mind exercising extreme power over the situation but they don't actually want to deal with the situation. But my overall point is America and the industrially advanced world has reached a point where it is inevitable that the law on statutory rape will be the old yet crudely phrased adage "if there's grass on the field play ball" This is the basis of my theory Hollywood has catered to the demolition of age of consent laws (and yet I don't want to hear politicians and preachers whine how they hate this happening, lest we ever forget the hypocrisy of Bristol Palin)

(of course I'm not suggesting if you find any of these women attractive that it would make you a freak I am the last to make that judgment call but it does confirm society's real feelings on adolescent's sex. The fear is simply put the campus urban legend of a man in his 40s calling for a college call girl only to find the agency sends him his daughter. Yeah gross but that's about the tall and short of it)
PS I knew a bisexual woman in college about my age (early twenties) who was open to many things including giving her boyfriend a dildo but couldn't handle her father looking at teen porn and her mother asked what she should do and she suggested divorce and I found out all of this in a five minute conversation of a first encounter so it was more than I could process at the time and I'm a little confused about it now
My main concern now is to make people aware organizations like NAMBLA do not and never will belong with other special interests groups that focus on empowering overlooked minorities. The NAACP and GLAAD protect people from harassment and degradation whereas NAMBLA and the KKK enforce degradation and harassment in much the same way
